The Hall is well used by the local Community and is in use most weekday nights. Regular weekly activities include Mothers and Toddlers Groups, Youth Groups, Karate and rehearsals by the Pathhead Players. The yearly play and the Village Pantomime by the Players are highlights of the village year. The Pathhead Music Collective hosts concerts by both internationally famous and local musicians. The hall is also used frequently by the school for plays and concerts, by Cranston Church, by the Women’s Rural Institute and by the Pathhead Horticultural Society. The yearly Flower and Horticultural Show is a popular event with adults and children. There are village entertainments, e.g. the Spring Gig or Cool Yule, every few months  and the hall is often used for private parties. There are a range of other  community concerts and parties arranged by the PDCA or PSSC thoughout the year.

 

You can book use of the Hall or the new refurbished bar area (the bar will be closed). Other rooms are available in request. A small deposit may be required against damage or breakages. Here are the prices for Hall hire effective from 1st June 2013.

 

    £13.50 per hour for any one off bookings and

    £12 per hour  for regular users

BEFORE USING THE HALL PLEASE CARRY OUT A BRIEF ASSESMENT OF THE SUITABILITY OF THE HALL FOR YOUR EVENT. Please take into account any special needs - e.g. of the very young or elderly.
 
IT YOU ARE NOT A REGULAR USER PLEASE FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH THE EXITS AND BASIC HEALTH AND SAFETY AND FIRE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. Please ensure people attendin your event are aware of the exits etc.
 
CHECK THAT ALL EXITS AS SHOWN IN THE LAYOUT DIAGRAM ARE CLEAR OF OBSTRUCTION BEFORE STARTING YOUR EVENT. Please ensure both sides of the front door are unlocked.
 
DO NOT INTERFERE WITH STAGE ELECTRICS OR THE HEATERS ETC. Please follow the instructions placed in the hall.
 
PLEASE REMOVE YOUR RUBBISH AND PLACE IT IN PROPER BINS. Could we ask children's groups to do art and other creative work in the centre of the hall away from the heaters under the benches.
 
PLEASE TAKE CARE WHEN USING THE COOKER OR OTHER APPLIANCES IN THE KITCHEN. The cooker is for warming food not cooking meals.

When booking the hall please read these. When making your booking you are deemed to have read and agreed to abide by these.

Please note that the hall is shared by many users so please consider this. If you using the hall at night please consider the surrounding residents.

THERE IS NO SMOKING IN THE HALL. PLEASE REFER TO THE SIGNS IN THE HALL. Please also do not spoke close the exit doors. Please dispose of cigarettes in the bins provided

We employ a cleaner for the hall but they do not work every day and or after each event. Please therefore ensure you leave the hall as you would expect to find it. Please sweep hall floor (brushes in kitchen cupboard) and clean surfaces, including tables (cleaning equipment under kitchen sinks). Please check the toilets after use and please take rubbish away. Do not allow your guests to drink outside the hall and leave rubbish or bottles infront or at the sides. Please be considerate towards other users.
