This is the story of our new Kitchen - supplied by Ikea - put together with the help of many villagers, local businesses, the Pathhead Players, Midlothian Council and the Lothian and Borders police.

Kitchen Demolition

Around 15 villagers were involved in the great kitchen demolision over the weekend of 20th / 21st Februrary. McSence. had previously removed the old kitchen, so all we had to do was demolish the partition wall, remove carpet tiles, remove old fixtures, remove old plaster....and clean the ceiling... and unblock pipes!            Many thanks to all who helped

Work continued through the week - with rotten windows being blocked up, paint being stripped back from the woodwork and cracks in the walls being filled. The new elecrics are being installed.

The Big Kitchen Build (and Paint)

The 6th and 7th of March saw the big kitchen build and paint - much work doen by many villages, saw the kitchen start to take shape.

Lots of painting and tiling took place between the 8th and the 14th

20th & 21st- its time for the finishes touches - and some last mnute panics!
