Pathhead, Dreepy to Ford then onto and around Vogrie, then on to Crichton and the Castle. Back via Lairds Entry. Option to look take a walk to the Quarry "cliffs" and Lime Kilns.
5hrs total at steady pace.

Largely sign posted, but some "Off Piste" care required.
#1 From Mainstreet follow route of Walk 1 to Alderdean.
#13 at Alderdean don't go over the bridge but follow the path along the Tyne
#14 At the next bridge there are 2 options
either go over the bridge
or continue to follow the path along the tyne. There is a "rugged" path along the west side of the valley This leads along the side of the quarry and up to the Lime Kiln at #15. TAKE CARE ON THE PATH.
Return back to #14 and cross the bridge.
Climb the steps and follow the "Daffodil Path" south along the East side of the Valley.
#16 There are several Lime Kilms off the path on lower paths.
#17 Follow the path up the road.
#18 At the junction 18, follow th road sign posted tot he Castle
#19 Go through the church yard.
#20 Walk alng the path to Crichton Castle.
#21 Retrace the route to Chrichton Village.
Follow the road past Chrichton Farm to
#22 Lairds Entry, then follow the road up to
#23 the A68 and walk back into the Pathhead.
In Vogrie stop for Coffee in the Cafe or on return to Pathhead stop in the Forrestes for similar refreshment.
